Wow!!! It Has Been Way to Long...

Well hello everyone!!

It has been quite sometime since I have blogged or posted any of my creations (I apologize). The last time I posted was in January, and a lot has happened since then. Most importantly, I graduated from WVU with my Masters in Elementary Education. I also started subbing at the end of Febuary, and finish subbing for this year on Wednesday. I will have two days off and will start my summer teaching job on Monday!!! I currently do not have a full-time teaching postition for the fall, but I check the job postings every week and am applying for everything I am qualified for!!

Now onto the fun stuff!!! I have not been to busy making cakes, but I have made a few over the past couple of months.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

It has been awhile since I have posted and I have been very busy!!!

I did a lot of baking for some teachers at my school and for my family

over the holidays. I do not even want to think about all the cookies and carmels

I have made over the past two weeks.

Snickerdoodles

Over the Holidays I made well over 700 cookies!!!

Which included chocolate chip, snickerdoodles, peanut butter, sugar

and short bread cookies.

One of my favorite things that I have made for Christmas was these

pretzel carmels candies I found a recipe for. They were extremly easy

and they TASTED so good!!!

For Christmas I got a lot of cool items for my kitchen. I got a new cake

stand (Thanks Glenda). I love it, plus it can be used in so many ways.

Anyways, I had to make a cake to put on it!!!

This cake was SOOOO goood!!!

I also got a cow cookie jar, and a cow plate (Thanks Caron)!!!

There are already cookies in my cookie jar!!!

My last baking adventure for the Holiday was a little more fun for me. I got to make a Super Man Logo cake!!!!!

It was fun to do a cake like this, I haven't done one in a while.

                                                   

Final Product

The cake was a Grooms Cake for a rehersal dinner.

It is red velvet cake, with cream cheese icing!!!

I had a GREAT Christmas, I was a little tired of baking, but I
 really did enjoy it.  I now have a little over a week left til I start my last semester of college ever!!!
Hopefully I will be able to get a little more baking in before I have to go back to school!!!

What I have been up to...

The past couple weeks I have been busy

with school and I have not been

baking a lot. But, I have managed

to put aside to bake a couple of things!!!

I made my first cookie cake ever!!

I think it turned out pretty well.

It was for my little sisters

15th Birthday!!!

MINI HAMBURGERS!!

Not only do they really look like hamburgers

but, they were so good!!!

It is just a cupcake cut in half,

with a brownie in the middle!!!

Looked pretty, and taseted AMAZING!!!

I did make a chocolate cake the other night

but did not get a picture of it... :(

**Grandma's Carmels**

The other day I was bored and decided I was going to make

my Grandma's Caramels!!!

You add all of the ingredients together

and you have to keep stirring and

stirring until it reaches 250 degrees!!

This time when making the caramels, I lined

my pan with parchment paper!!! It made

everything so much easier!!!

I then had to cut them all up....

and....

WaaLaaa Grandma's Caramels!!!

Wrapping them took awhile, but it was

well worth it!!!

I love making these caramels, they are so good,

and not that hard to make.

I will be making more this week for

Thanksgiving!!!
